The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Realty and Environmental Planning, administers the endangered and threatened species consultation program. You may access information and tools about the program and process below:

  1. The Illinois Administrative Rule for Consultation procedures for assessing impacts of agency actions on endangered and threatened species and natural areas.

  2. Information about the IDNR endangered and threatened species consultation and environmental review programs and processes.

  3. The Ecological Compliance Assessment Tool (EcoCAT) is the publicly accessible web-based tool that constitutes the first step for endangered and threatened species and other environmental review.
