Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

September 2nd, 3rd - - Labor Day Urban Fishing Program

On September 2nd and 3rd from 9:00 am. to 1:00 pm at the Pere Marquette Blue Gill Pond. This is a fishing program open to anybody who wants to come and fish. All rods, reels, bait, and equipment will be provided. The program is open for all ages and skill levels. 

October 4th and November 1st - - Fishing and Night Hike Owl Program

The educational fishing program begins at 5:30 at the Blue Gill fishing pond beside the visitor center. At 7:30 we will start our program on owls in the visitor center. We will talk about owls and other creatures we might hear in the night. Following this program we will start our night hike to listen for owls. This hike will be around 2 miles long and partially uphill. When the hike is over you can join us for a hotdog and marshmallow roast. We ask that you bring one flashlight per family. Refreshments and drinks will be provided. 

Fishing and Night Hike Owl Program

September 14 - Ocotber 27th - - Guided Hikes

Every Saturday and Sunday there will be guided hikes. Saturdays are 10:00am. Sundays are 10:00am and 1:00pm. All programs will begin at the park’s visitor center. 

Pere Marquette Bald Eagle Days

Pere Marquette State Park will be presenting informative programs about bald eagles this winter. Visitors will learn to distinguish between immature and mature bald eagles, what eagles eat, why they spend winter months in the area, and much more. All programs will begin at the park’s visitor center at 8:30 A.M. (Reservations Required.)
