Project Title: Ecological Classification of Rivers for Environmental Assessment and Management: Stream Attribution and Model Preparation

Community and/or Species Focus: Streams

Goals/Objectives:
  1. Develop a classification system for Illinois rivers and streams
  2. Describe stream reaches and catchments at 3 different scales
  3. Develop datasets that predict riverine habitats and biota from a mapped landscape
Achievements:
  1. ​Demonstrated the potential of describing location of stream types in a standardized manner
  2. Gathered datasets on fish, macroinvertebrates, stream flow, & temperature
