Project Title: An Evaluation of Fish, Amphibian and Reptile Diversity, Abundance, Habitat Use and Reproduction in Buttonland Swamp

Goals/Objectives:
- Evaluate amphibian diversity, abundance, habitat use and reproduction in relationship to Buttonland Swamp hydrology
- Evaluate reptile diversity, abundance, habitat use and reproduction in relationship to Buttonland Swamp hydrology
- Evaluate relationships between Buttonland Swamp hydrology and fish assemblage structure, relative abundance and habitat use
- Evaluate relationships between Buttonland Swamp hydrology and fish recruitment
Achievements:
- Provide critical data to assessing how amphibian diversity, abundance and reproduction can vary with defined hydrologic management regimes and climate patterns
- Provide estimates of reptile population and recruitment dynamics in relation to habitat and hydrological conditions
- Provide data detailing how fish assemblage, structure, relative abundance and habitat use vary seasonally in relation to hydrological patterns and habitat conditions
- Assessment of how the timing of changes in water elevation influences the relative abundance of early life stages among years and subsequent recruitment into the population
