Abandoned Mined Land Reclamation
The Abandoned Mined Lands and Water Reclamation Act (20 ILCS 1920) provides for the reclamation of lands and waters affected by coal mining which have been abandoned, and satisfies the requirements of federal law to obtain funds for reclamation of such lands and waters. 62 Ill. Land Reclamation
The Surface Coal Mining Land Conservation and Reclamation Act (225 ILCS 720) provides for the conservation and reclamation of lands affected by coal mining operations after February 1, 1983.
The Surface Mined-Land Conservation and Reclamation Act (225 ILCS 715) established control of environmental impacts for coal mining activities for operations prior to February 1, 1983.

The Surface Mined-Land Conservation and Reclamation Act (225 ILCS 715) provides for the conservation and reclamation of lands affected by aggregate (non-coal) mining as well as the control of environmental impacts from blasting, training, examination, and licensing of blasting supervisors.
