​Accessibility at Volo Bog:

  • Parking - There are three accessible parking spaces in the asphalt parking lot. All sidewalks are concrete and level with the parking lot.
     
  • Boardwalk - The boardwalk is a variety of surfaces, and is not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There is a slight incline to access the boardwalk from the concrete sidewalk. It's total length is 1500 feet.
     
  • Restrooms - There are accessible vault toilets in the park, and accessible flush toilets in the Visitor Center.

  • Service animals are welcome at the site except on the interpretive boardwalk due to the endangered species and fragile hydrology of the bog. 

  • Visitor Center - Exhibits on the second floor of the Visitor Center offer tactile elements.
     
  • Trails - Guided hikes are offered at the park.  The hikes are is between 1/2-mile to 4-miles, and last 1 - 3 hours accommodating the needs of those attending. There are some benches along the trail to sit. There are no steps on the trails.
