Features and Behaviors

FEATURES
Bluevine, also known as sandvine and honeyvine, grows up to 15 feet long. The leaves are arranged opposite each other in pairs on the stem. Seedpods grow up to four inches in length. Flowers are positioned in the leaf axils and are white to pink-white in color.

BEHAVIORS
Bluevine flowers July through September. It is found mainly in the southern two-thirds of the state. Bluevine is a vining milkweed that does not have milky sap. It grows in moist woods, fields, thickets, roadsides and disturbed soil.
